Campaign Sending by Timezone
What it is
“Sending by Timezone” is an optional setting on campaigns that ensures your contacts receive messages at the right local time, based on their timezone, instead of all contacts getting the message at once.
If disabled, everyone gets the message simultaneously when the campaign goes live (subject to safe sending rules). If enabled, messages are paced out across contact locations so people see them at appropriate local hours.
Why it matters / Value proposition
-
Better experience for contacts: Messages arrive at reasonable hours for each recipient (not in the middle of their night).
-
Higher engagement / open rates: When people get messages at comfortable times (morning, daytime), they’re more likely to read/respond.
-
Professionalism & trust: Shows you’re considerate of recipients’ local time, which can reduce annoyance or opt-outs.
-
Defaults to fairness: Contacts across different regions aren’t penalized by receiving spammy volumes at awkward times.
How to use It?
Toggle within Campaign set up to select if you wish Audiences to receive the message on their local time, otherwise, they’ll receive it as soon as the campaign is live simultaneously regardless of the locations (Message Safe Sending hours sill rules if enabled):

When this Feature is enabled you can appreciate it Off by default, and will be able to acknowledge the pace or rhythm messages are going to be sent, in this case, regardless of the geo-localization of the contacts, will start receiving messages simultaneously

On the other hand, when you enabled it:

You can appreciate the new pacing of the campaign message sending, accommodating messages based on the contacts timezone attribute

- In order to make sure contacts are going to be messaged in the right pace, make sure that the following steps are considered:
- Contacts first class attribute
timezoneis set - In Case #1 is not completed, Voxie will imply the contacts timezone by the
phone_number’s area code - In the rare case #2 cannot be completed, then the contact will inherit the Team’s timezone
- Contacts first class attribute
- The local time is always referencing to the user setting up the campaign. The local time is always referencing to the user setting up the campaign.
Time zone Aware Sending Marker, once Campaign is set, depending on it’s state the explanatory legend will change accordantly:
DRAFT: No Mention on Launch time will be shown.
SCHEDULED: It will show date (Today, MM/dd/YY) & time (hh:mm am/pm) you’ve configured.
LIVE: It will show date (Today, Yesterday, MM/dd/YY) & time (hh:mm am/pm) it has been set to Live, bare in mind all Campaigns start in EDT, so you’ll may see times (hh:mm am/pm) in the past
If the Campaign has been configured and saved as DRAFT and the scheduled date remains in the past, when launched, then it will be launched immediately for everyone.
